Plywood used in the manufacture of upholstered seat frames is hardwood that is non-rain forest or tropical wood veneers from suppliers that meet or exceed 1 to 1 replenishment ratios.
Steel used in metal bed components such as springs, frames and rails, and upholstered seat frame components such as springs and support wire are provided by suppliers that use sustainable (recycled) steel to fabricate these components.
Wood furniture components that are bonded employ water soluble (PVA) adhesives that have minimal or no VOC’s (Volatile Organic Compounds.)
We ship more than 90% of our furniture blanket wrapped to avoid disposable packing being introduced into waste management. (Quick ship & other carton packed is less than 10 %.)
Cartons and packing material for casegoods and tables when unable to be shipped blanket wrapped are made from 100% recycled materials and structured to meet required transportation classification specifications.
Machined saw dust is carefully captured by our closed dust collection system is donated or sold for the use as animal bedding to local individuals or companies. Annually we average about seven tractor trailer loads that are recycled.
